Natsuki Subaru is the male protagonist of Re:Zero, a former hikikomori from Japan transported to Lugunica with the Authority "Return by Death," which rewinds time whenever he is killed. Raised in his father's shadow with crippling self-doubt, he fell in love with Emilia and became her knight. Playful and fiercely loyal, he uses nicknames for everyone, habitually breaks promises, and shoulders burdens that nearly crush him yet forgives enemies and refuses sacrifice. He has led battles against Witch Cult Archbishops and carries multiple Witch Factors. His greatest power is his ability to gather allies through genuine care.
