Ryuko Matoi is the 17-year-old female protagonist of Kill la Kill — a fierce Japanese Delinquent who transfers to Honnouji Academy seeking answers about her father's murder. Wielding the red Scissor Blade and bonded to the living Kamui uniform Senketsu, she challenges the academy's iron-fisted Student Council President Satsuki Kiryuin.
